HomE GreYhound Bus Terminal (left) 1965 by Welton Becket + Associates with architect Kenneth R. Swift Sixth + Los Angeles Streets This three-level facility served the United States cross-country travelers and was shared by the Southern California Rapid Transit District Pacific Electric Lofts (center) 1903 by architect Thornton Fitzhugh Sixth + Main Streets The building served as headquarters and interurban terminal for Henry HuntinGton's Southern Pacific Railroad Red Cars from 1916 until 1963. Another long gone transportation hub was below the SubwaY Terminal building. Today all activities are centered around the East Portal of downtown's Union Station |
